Crowd anonymity
Crowd anonymity is the mechanism in SKAdNetwork 4 and AdAttributionKit that scales how much detail a postback contains to how many installs a campaign generates. Low-volume campaigns receive less granular data to protect user privacy.
Tiers run from 0 to 3. At the lowest tiers, postbacks may omit the conversion value, the source app, or the fine-grained source identifier entirely. Reaching higher tiers requires install volume, which pushes advertisers toward fewer, larger campaigns.
Long-tail keywords, small geos, and creative tests are exactly the things crowd anonymity hides. For Apple Search Ads, the AdServices attribution path is unaffected by it and is the better basis for keyword-level reporting.
